Dogs.  I have always had a soft spot for them.  Ever since I was a kid and we had our first dog a Boston Terrier, Frito! What do I like about dogs you ask?  I love the way they greet you even though you have not gotten in the door yet.  The way l curl up with you on the couch.  They way they are sometimes loyal to a fault protecting kids when they are around.  Yes!  I love dogs!

This post is about a special organization, PRONE.  PRONE is a Pug Rescue based in New England.  My friend Joline has been involved with them for years.  PRONE helps find homes for neglected and surrendered Pugs.  I was blessed to be able to spend my Saturday helping their cause.  I was the official photographer for the PRONE 5K Run/Walk.

We meet up at Carson Beach in South Boston.  Their were a few hundred in attendance.  The Pugs and there owners came out in full force.  It was a beautiful day!  You could hear barking all around as the runners prepared for the race.  Off the runners went.

They went down and back along the beach.  As they made it through the finish line you could see the Boston Skyline in the distance.  Returning they quickly grabbed water to quench their thirst.

At the end of the race runners hurriedly searched the results to see where they placed.  In the end awards were given out as the crowd watched.

It was a great occasion and if you are interested in finding out more about PRONE and how to help Pugs in need click here.
